For some people, music is not an episode but a thread running through their whole life – sometimes hidden, yet never broken. For Elena Popova, that thread begins with a violin in her hands and leads all the way to the ranks of “Morski Zvutsi”.
The Journey
Elena graduated from the Music School with a degree in violin. Then life had other plans – family came, along with everything it asks of us, and music was put on pause. But a pause is not an ending.
In 2011 she returned to music through singing – in the church choir “St. John Chrysostom” at the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary (“Malka Sv. Bogoroditsa”) in Varna, where she sings to this day. Two years later, in 2013, she took the next step – and joined “Morski Zvutsi”.
Music is a treasure! It brings me joy and fulfilment – especially after a concert – and a feeling of happiness.
