The Singers of “Morski Zvutsi”
Veselina Nikolova
Soprano · In the choir since 2017
She has been singing in choirs since the fourth grade, and “Morski Zvutsi” is her dream come true and her calling. In daily life she combines the responsibility of serving in the Bulgarian Navy with her love of music - and finds her true inspiration on stage.
The Journey
A Lifetime in Choral Music
Veselina’s musical path began in her school years, in the children’s choir of the “Hristo Botev” community center, from fourth to tenth grade. Later, between 2013 and 2017, she sang in a women’s vocal formation, in the “Vladi Anastasov” Mixed Choir and in the church choir of the St. Petka church, where she was also a soloist - all three ensembles under conductor Dimitrina Hineva.
Since November 2017 she has been part of “Morski Zvutsi”, singing under conductors Rositsa Shtereva, Stefan Boyadzhiev and, today, Dr. Valentina Georgieva. Behind her are dozens of concerts, festivals, camps and tours, joint projects with the Varna Opera choir and with American and other guest conductors and ensembles, and performances of large-scale cantata and oratorio works with orchestra.
“From every conductor I learned and built on so much - breathing, tone production, singing as one, stage presence and craft,” she says.
It is a pride to be from Varna and to sing in a choir with such high standards and long traditions. When I stand on stage with “Morski Zvutsi”, I feel truly alive and uplifted.
