Solfège teacher

Yordanka Shishkova set up the country's first sight-singing school attached to an amateur choir and ran the choir's solfège training during the years of its great rise.

She sat on the panel that chose the singers for Gorizia (1972), was credited for her part in preparing Cherubini's Requiem for Sofia, and worked with the sections before the Cork competition (1976). The choir said goodbye to her on 18 November 1976.
